A Tech Guru successfully integrates different forms of technology and/or media into the history or social studies classroom. 

To earn the Tech Guru badge, a teacher must:

• Share a lesson that showcases technology or media, such as Smartboard, mobile apps, documentary, film, music, video games, or other technology to support student learning.
• Annotate student work to identify how students gained new history knowledge or skills as a result of the use of technology.

Why? Not all uses of educational technology are created equal. Teachers should be encouraged to thoughtfully employ technology or media to advance their larger curriculum design and instructional goals.
